South Australian's Hoping for a Million Dollar Saturday

Leading Adelaide trainers Tony McEvoy and Phillip Stokes will be eyeing off million dollar pay days when their youngsters take to the track in Saturday's Magic Millions Raceday on the Gold Coast.

Tony McEvoy will have two runners in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic which has a $1.94 million purse and includes a $1.2 million winner's cheque.

McEvoy will saddle up the $4 favourite in the race, his filly Sunlight who strolled to a 4.75 length victory in her last start. Favouritism for the race has been a battle of three between Sunlight, David Atkin's Jonker and Tony Gollan's Ef Troop. Sunlight will be ridden by Luke Currie and more than likely jump from barrier 12 after the scratchings of the emergencies in the field.

McEvoy's other runner Crockett will be ridden by South Australian star Jamie Kah. Crockett won his first race start at Morphettville back in October with Kah in the saddle. He then finished second behind Ef Troop in the Phelan Ready Stakes, before running seventh in the B.J. McLachlan. The colt is rated a $26 chance with UBET.

In the other feature race of the day, the Magic Millions 3YO Guineas, Phillip Stokes will saddle up his talented three-year-old filly Lady of Crebilly.

The filly is two from five this preparation where she won two in a row at Morphettville over spring before running third in the Listed Twilight Glow at Sandown. She ran fourth in her last start at Randwick on her way up to the Gold Coast. Lady of Crebilly will be ridden by Regan Bayliss who partnered her in Sydney at her last start.

The $1.94 million in prizemoney is on offer in this race as well, including $1.2 million for first place.

Jamie Kah is also set to ride in the 3YO Guineas and will partner the Gary Duncan trained Magnufighter. Magnufighter ran on well from the back of the field in his last start in the Vo Rogue Plate.

Kah will have four other rides on the card including Our Netbank and Husson Boots for Tony Gollan as well as She's Miss Devine for Steven O'Dea and Reneged for John Thompson.

Magic Millions regular, Lloyd Kennewell will be hoping his good record on the Gold Coast continues when his superstar mare Viddora steps out in the $970k Magic Millions Sprint.

Viddora ran second in this race last year and will be hoping to go one better and take home the $600k cheque for first place. The mare is the red-hot favourite in the race at $2.50 with UBET after her last start Group 1 win in the Winterbottom Stakes.

Her regular jockey, Joe Bowditch will take the ride once again on the mare and he and Kennewell will also combine in the Magic Millions Maiden Plate with Yoelqui. A race worth $242,500, including $150k for first place.
