In a boost for spring racing fans, Morphettville racecourse has been granted increased patron capacity.
The increase takes effect just in time for the succession of iconic spring racing days, starting with the Cox Plate day meeting this weekend, and continuing through the pointy end of the 2020 spring carnival.
“Morphettville Racecourse is pleased to announce that we have been granted increased capacity for our venue,” SAJC said in a statement today.
“(However), all attendees must pre-purchase a package to attend the racecourse.
“This is especially good news for those wishing to attend our spring carnival as we can now accommodate additional bookings…”
Increased patronage will ensure more opportunities to enjoy ‘a day at the races’ at Morphettville on the following days:
- Cox Plate Day, Saturday, October 24
- Victoria Derby Day, Saturday, October 31
- Melbourne Cup Day, Tuesday, November 3
- Stakes Day, Saturday, November 7
