There's nothing like spreading Christmas cheer.
Located in the Adelaide Hills, Oakbank Racecourse is home to jumps racing in South Australia, which combines with flat racing to make two days of thrilling racing over Easter each year. While in the past Oakbank has remained dormant for the remainder of the year, the Club introduced a Christmas race meeting in December 2010 and this year the tradition continues on Friday 21st December 2012.
Eat, drink and be merry this festive season with colleagues, family and friends at Oakbank and enjoy thoroughbred racing, fun and frivolity in beautiful surrounds. Whether it is a small group, or a large number of guests requiring a private race day marquee, Oakbank has a package to suit this Christmas.
Oakbank Racecourse will be a-buzz with festive cheer and fun activities such as an animal nursery, a band, pony rides, and a visit from Father Christmas himself.
This year, Oakbank will be teaming up with 'The Lights of Lobethal' - the largest
community Christmas lights display in the Southern Hemisphere to showcase the
best of the Adelaide Hills during the Festive Season.
The Lights of Lobethal
With racing finishing at approximately 7.30pm, a visit to the Lights of Lobethal after the races is an ideal way to celebrate 'Christmas in the Hills' and treat your guests to a unique experience that captures the true spirit of Christmas. Lobethal is located just 10 minutes drive from the Oakbank Racecourse.

Located in the historic CS Hayes Bar, this area is just steps away from the member's grandstand which overlooks the winning post.

Located in the centre of the racecourse, these picket-fenced areas provide a greatview of the track in the lead up to the finish line and you needn't bring a thing.

Located at the rear of the double-decker grandstand, this premium location offers a bird's eye view of the Winning post.

Stable Stars Kids Club
The Stable Stars is a great new club for kids aged between 3 and 11 years old who love horses! There’s lots of fun for kids including games, craft, face painting, entertainment and activities.
Christmas in The Hills is a Stable Stars Kids Club event, with the Camp Australia Fun Zone operating from 2 - 6pm.
