One of the most popular Sunday race days on the South Australian calendar, the Langhorne Creek Vignerons' Day is more than just a horse race.
Celebrating the best that the local region has to offer in food and wine, the day is one for all the family to enjoy the atmosphere and grounds of the picturesque Strathalbyn Racecourse.
In 2013, the Strathalbyn Racing Club and Langhorne Creek Wine Region will be celebrating 20 years of the iconic Langhorne Creek Vignerons Race Day. There's nothing like a strong tradition!
Fun for the whole family
Get caught up in the thrill of the races, toe tap to live music, keep the kids busy with children's entertainment, and indulge in gourmet food and superb Langhorne Creek branded wines.
Wineries are present in a designated wine area on course to offer wine tasting and sales by the bottle or glass. Insignia glasses are also sold.
Bring your own picnic rug and chairs for a relaxed day out or take things more seriously with a hospitality package.

The Green Room - Fine Dining
$175 per person, $150 per member
The Green Room offers hospitality to guests wishing to celebrate their day at the races in style. Offering fantastic views of the racecourse with full glass frontage, The Green Room allows you to capture all the excitement and atmosphere of your trackside location.
Package includes:
- a sensational three course a la carte luncheon designed by our head chef
- beverages including premium beer, wines, and soft drinks served from midday until the start of the last race (spirits available for purchase)
- racecourse admission
- racebook for each guest
- tea and coffee facilities
- private betting facilities

Reserved Outdoor Seating Package
$200 per table (six guests per package)
Reserve your favourite trackside location and pre-purchase a Reserved Outdoor Seating Package. Each package includes admission to the racecourse, a market umbrella, garden table and six chairs. The package provides attendees with a great place to relax in the shade all day. If you've got 12 people, it's simple, just book two packages.
The Reserved Outdoor Seating Package combines spectacular racing with a relaxed picnic atmosphere.

- Drinks packages are not available, but guests have access to on-course public bars.

- gourmet three course lunch designed by our head chef
- fully staffed bar centrally located inside your marquee serving beverages from midday until the start of the last race
- white linen table cloths, linen serviettes, crockery and cutlery
- exclusive outdoor courtyard with outdoor furniture
- racecourse admission, andracebook for each guest.
