Mad March a Magic Month for Griffiths

It’s been a big few weeks for apprentice jockey Brandon Griffiths who is currently in the best form of his young career. Griffiths has ridden 6 winners from 26 rides at 23% this month including two doubles and most importantly his first metropolitan winner.

Griffiths who is currently on loan to the Rob Wilkinson stable also took out Sunday’s Kimba Cup on Moon Devil, a horse he has great success with. Brandon has now ridden the Angela Forster trained Moon Devil five times for three wins and a second placing.

Twenty-four hours earlier at Morphettville, Griffiths was over the moon with his win on $41 outsider Let’s Tango, his first metropolitan winner.

The exciting times are set to continue as Griffiths heads to Launceston tomorrow to ride in Heat Four of the National Apprentice Series.

Griffiths will have two rides tomorrow, the first on St De Sales in Race 4 and the second on Mercury Queen for Adam Trinder in the Apprentice Series race.

With the form he’s in, he’s every chance to add to his current career total of 31 winners!
