Dual Group 1 winning sprinter Malaguerra will be given every chance to line up in next month’s Group 1 Darley Goodwood according to Manny Gelagotis.
Malaguerra won last year’s Group 1 Darley Classic at Flemington beating horses like Spieth, Lankan Rupee and English. The gelding was last seen at Randwick in the TJ Smith Stakes where he didn’t quite handle the wet track and finished seventh.
The $32,000 purchase has been a magnificent buy for owner Bruno Micalizzi who has now gone on to amass over $1.6 million in prizemoney.
The newly crowned $1 million Darley Goodwood is attracting some high quality horses with Black Heart Bart and Hey Doc also likely to feature in the Group 1 sprint on Saturday 20 May.
