Racegoers in the State's south-east are preparing their outfits for Fashion at The Races (FATR) at the Katnook Penola Cup on Easter Sunday, where entrants can win bigger than ever prizes and qualify for the state-wide competition.

Held at the Penola Racing Club on Sunday 27 April, FATR is open to everyone, with categories including Best Dressed Womenswear, Runner-up Best Dressed, Best Millinery, Best Dressed Menswear, and the newly introduced Best Footwear category.

The Best Dressed Womenswear winner will walk away with $1000 cash and a $200 voucher for The Daily Edited, while the Best Dressed Menswear winner will receive a $100 Shoe Shed voucher, a $100 ortc Clothing Co. prize pack and a pair of Rossi Boots. There will also be great prizes up for grabs for winners of the other categories.

Winners will qualify for September's state final where the overall womenswear winner will walk away with prizes including a $5000 BNKR shopping spree and a $500 Shoe Shed voucher, while the menswear winner will receive $500 vouchers for The Daily Edited, the Shoe Shed and Rossi Boots.

The registration booth will be in the general admission area, where entrants can register their details, collect number paddles and find out competition location and timings.

Thoroughbred Racing SA Senior Marketing Coordinator Cassandra Norris, also on the state wide FATR judging panel, said Penola competitors have a reputation for perfectly  pairing their raceday ensembles.

"Country competitors always 'wow' spectators and judges with their incredible handcrafted millinery and pieces that bring a truly unique look to the competition," Ms Norris said.

"When selecting a winner, judges are looking for originality, attention to detail, and an ensemble that strikes the right balance between tradition and current trends."

While you're there, why not make it a day out with family and friends? Enjoy Easter Sunday with a refreshment from the PIMMS Bar and a delicious feast from the range of food vans on offer.

There will also be lots of activities to keep the kids entertained, with a visit from the Easter Bunny, a bouncing castle, running races and much more.
