RACE 1 - Terry Howe Printing Handicap (1550 METRES)

The market has this race set up as a race in two. Victorian raider SENSITIVITY and the Richard and Chantelle Jolly-trained KALAMON. SENSITIVIY has been impressive winning her past couple and draws to be handy to the speed and should box seat from gate two with Todd Pannell in the saddle, KALAMON made a mess of rivals at Balaklava last time out and although steps up in class is a horse on the rise and must be respected.  TUBBY TWO TRACKS looks the race leader from her inside gate while TUMANAKO has shown speed at her past couple and will likely roll forward from her wide gate in the small but select field.

RACE 2 - Holdfast Insurance Handicap (1400 METRES)

Looks to be a lack of real early speed here which plays into the hands of DEFIANT DANCER who was back to his best last time at this track and trip and is yet to miss a place around the Parks. He draws to get take advantage from barrier two and there is no reason why he can’t win again. SILVERHAWK has been specked in early marks and was very strong late over 1200m second-up for the Will Clarken stable to win at Murray Bridge last time. He should appreciate the extra trip. WINNING PARTNER showed plenty of benefit from his first run in 37 weeks when he powered over the top of rivals at Murray Bridge second-up. He will be right in the mix if he can use the inside gate to his advantage.

RACE 3 - TAB Handicap (1550 METRES)

Anthony Freedman’s ROGUES POINT has the blinkers on, is drawn wide but will probably race forward. He’s been beaten as an odds-on favourite at two of his past three starts and one of those was in the Tasmanian Derby back in February.  This looks a very winnable race for him. ROTHMOORE has come back to racing in very good fashion. He bolted in first-up at Gawler and won well again at this track and trip last time out. His chances would increase significantly with any rain. THE SIDEKICK is an ex-Anthony Freedman horse now with Will Clarken and was not asked to do a lot in a recent Balaklava trial. Keep an eye for any market support. WITH PLEASURE is on the quick back-up from last week and has been specked in early betting. TERRITORY TITAN is racing in good form winning his past couple back in class and he looks the race leader.

RACE 4 - Adelaide Galvanising Handicap (1950 METRES)

SIGN OF USSURI is marked a short-priced favourite again despite going down as an odds-on pop at Gawler last weekend. He was good winning his previous two but has never won beyond a mile which is a slight concern. BIANCO NUOVO has particularly good form on rain affected surfaces winning at Ballarat two starts back. He draws well and Todd Pannell takes the ride. MANZALA stuck on strongly at Gawler last week behind Bertwhistle and is bursting to break through in similar grade having only finished out of the first four in one of eight starts since re-joining Ashton Downing in March. EXALTED RUTH had good specking in the race won by Bertwhistle last weekend and closed well for last to be beaten just over a half-length. BUSKER’S BALLAD was a winner here two starts back before making a late ground at Gawler in that same race. ELUSIVE ROSE is a horse trending upwards and she followed a good run behind Cracksman with a Murray Bridge win last time. Former Victorian PLAY ME NOW’s best form is good enough to be in the mix, but he needs a lift.

RACE 5 - Schweppes Oaklands Plate (1400 METRES)

Hard not to be impressed by INSTANT CELEBRITY who won like a good horse on debut. She settled off the speed was crowded for room but got past rivals with ease when she saw clear air and looks a filly with a very bright future. SUPER STRIKER has been progressing smartly in his first campaign and looked incredibly good gunning down rivals at Murray Bridge last time. Todd Pannell takes the ride. Victorian raider FOGSGOSSIP looks the race leader from barrier with Jessica Eaton booked to ride. He was well backed to lead throughout and win by three lengths at Sale last time out. Tony and Calvin McEvoy saddle up five runners. THE KRONE showed the benefit of being ridden quietly when he got over the top of rivals to win at Balaklava last time, KAHAYLAAN was an easy winner at Gawler before getting well back and hitting the line sharply when beaten as a $1.40 chance at Balaklava, while THE BRUMBY beat the older horses by four lengths last time. MAYAMEEN is chasing a third win in succession and was wound up for this with a recent Morphettville trial win. WHO RUNS THE WORLD is on the quick back-up from last week where she was solid through the line beating all but Allez Sur Le Gris. Barend Vorster staying with KAHAYLAAN is the guide to their chances.

RACE 6 - Chapel Hill Handicap (1250 METRES)

LEFT HAND MAN was only run down late at Murray Bridge at his return to SA and he’s again going to give them something to chase here from barrier five. ARKHAM KNIGHT was very good winning two starts back before being placed behind Winning Partner last time when he was a big drifter in betting, DEXELATION is drawn to be handy to the speed. He was only beaten home by Octane and Brimarvi Vehero at Gawler last week and he doesn’t run too many bad races. OH MO is nice horse but his get-back racing pattern can be costly. He again hit the line hard behind Silverhawk at Murray Bridge last time and he has a good record this track and trip. NIPPERKIN is another who needs luck in her races, but she finished hard alongside ARKHAM KNIGHT last time and must be respected. BEEOKAY is another who is racing well and draws the inside alley.

RACE 7 - Furphy Handicap (1000 METRES)

HYPERSONIC deserves to be favourite. He has been highly rated by the stable since his two-year-old campaign and was dominant winning at Murray Bridge on debut. The inside gate on the Parks track could be an issue but there does look to be plenty of horses who will be looking for a forward spot. ALMADRAVA is mixing her form. Her best is very good, the wide gate hasn’t helped her chances. FORTUNE FOLLOWS is another who will get back here, he’s second-up for Gordon Richards and could be an improver. AKKACAN has been around the mark at big odds his past two runs and should get an OK run not too far from the speed. AADELAD is one from five first-up but did trial well for his return and has been specked at a price in early markets.

RACE 8 - TAB Handicap (1250 METRES)

Big field and wide-open race. CONCONI was a Murray Bridge winner three starts back and has found the line strong her past couple. VIVALDI’S QUEST has on three of his past four back in class and must be respected with Kayla Crowther in the saddle. GOD’S PENNY has been placed at his past couple but faces a tricky wide gate. ICECRUSHER has been racing well since joining Shayne Cahill, SONO DOLCE could be ready to fire third-up in SA for Will Clarken. Former Queensland galloper WOUNDED SOLIDER was specked in early markets at a price. SUNMATE draws the inside and did run a cheeky race at big odds three starts back. KAYSERI made good ground last time out at Balaklava.

RACE 9 - AAMI Handicap (1400 METRES)

THE ANT’ S PANTS made very good ground here last time out when placed behind TASK AND PURPOSE. She’s lightly raced but nicely drawn and gets her chance. SADENTE flashed home from a long way back first-up for Andrew Clarken at Murray Bridge but is drawn the car park. CARLALUISA was another to make very good ground last start and is drawn to get a gun run from barrier two with Jason Holder in the saddle. GO BALLISTIC will go forward and he led throughout at Donald last time out. RIKIBOBBY ran well first-up off a short let-up but is drawn wide. NO JOY is a former local mare back with David Jolly after a stint with Patrick Payne. She did defeat Symphonette on debut here back in 2018. FRANKEL STAR is a well-travelled galloper who finds himself in SA with Matthew Seyers after a stint with Robert Hickmott. He did trial well for this, races on speed and has been specked in early betting,

BEST BET: INSTANT CELEBRITY (Race 5, No. 8)

EACH-WAY: DEXELATION (Race 6, No. 1)

ROUGHIE: SADENTE (Race 9, No. 12)
