Lincoln Moore's Saturday Preview

BEST BET: THE DIFFERENCE (Race 5)

EACH-WAY: GOLDEN HALO (Race 9)

VALUE: RESURGE (Race 3)

RACE 1 - 12:31PM Weslo Security 3MW-LY Handicap (1200 METRES)

GARNER looked a good thing here and was priced accordingly but stable is sending him to Melbourne. The big pull in the weights brings JACOBITE PRINCE right into this on the back of the claim for Jess Eaton. He wasn’t far away last week behind Kayseri and hasn’t missed a placed here. DEXELATION was again solid last week behind Tequila Time and his overall form this time in work has been very good. He was fourth in the Leon Macdonald Stakes over 1400m three starts back. He likes this track and trip and will take beating from the inside gate. EXALTED LAURETTA stuck to the task well after sitting outside Trip on a hot leaders’ track at the Parks last time out. FOX HALL was only plain in the Balaklava Cup but drops back to 1200m and did run fourth behind Behemoth three starts back. That’s good form for this.

SELECTIONS: JACOBITE PRINCE, Dexelation, Fox Hall

RACE 2 - 1:06PM AAMI Maiden Plate (1200 METRES)

LIVIN’ LOOSE has looked good winning two Gawler trials, the latest on Monday when she run down Miss Sizzler, who goes around at Murray Bridge on Friday. The stable is flying and he’s nicely drawn. STAR OF UMA was runner-up behind Grandslam on the Parks track on debut. She defeated Beau Rossa in a Gawler trial and will no doubt be wound up for this. NONAME LANE wasn’t far away at odds on debut and jumped out nicely at Morphettville recently for this. SHADOW BOOM is on the improve and can measure-up in a race like this.

SELECTIONS: LIVIN’ LOOSE, Star Of Uma, Noname Lane

RACE 3 - 1:41PM Soul Growers SABOIS+ Benchmark 82 Handicap (Heat 4 Skybeau Series) (2028 METRES)

Really good race for the stayers, with plenty of solid form. RITRATTO has always promised plenty and he made it two wins in succession here last week. He’s well weighted and should thrive at the 2028m. DARLAMAX has come to SA and is flying. He’s versatile, can put himself in a good spot from gate six and he will again be right in the finish. ACE OF CLUBS has done a massive job, with three wins and three seconds from his past six starts. ANDREA MANTEGNA dropped sharply in trip and ran through his skin behind Regalo Di Gaetano last time, while RESURGE ran some solid late sectionals to pull very good ground off CLASSY JOE last time and draws a perfect gate. ENRICO PALLAZO was ridden a treat before getting over the top of rivals at Tatura last time but rises in class, while CLASSY JOE hasn’t run a bad race for a long time now and was working home well last week.

SELECTIONS: DARLAMAX, Ritratto, Resurge

RACE 4 - 2:16PM Adelaide Galvanising Rebel Raider Series Final (Qualified Horses) (1200 METRES)

Really strong race with a lot of horses here set for better things. QUIETLY DISCREET was disappointing first-up but has quickly made that a distant memory when winning her past two in style. She draws to find the lead again and deserves to be favourite. CELESTINE won her first two here in SA before going to Flemington and proving too good for another local, Smokin’ Val. She’ll get a nice run from the gate. MILEVA is another who bounced back to winning form here last week. She has a very good record and should settle right on the speed. The Will Clarken pair of GAZE GRISE and BEAU ROSSA both have a lot of upside and ran well when resuming behind Amuri. ALLEBOOM was back to form with a bang last time but faces a sticky gate, while EXTRA TIME is a good horse who maps to get a nice run and must be respected.

SELCTIONS: QUIETLY DISCREET, Celestine, Mileva

RACE 5 - 2:51PM Happy 50th Brad Smart Entires and Geldings Benchmark 68 Handicap (1200 METRES)

THE DIFFERENCE has won two of his past three and was only tipped out by the in-form Alsvior last time. He draws out but is aided by the claim for Jess Eaton and back to 1200m looks ideal. Stablemate RENEGADE is back from Melbourne, had some specking at odds behind Chaillot at Flemington and was a Geelong winner three starts back in January. COSMIC RHAPSODY had some specking first-up when he failed to beat one home behind Soarsa, but his best would be right in this. BEEOKAY hasn’t done a lot wrong recently and has two wins this track and trip. EQUUS D’ORO wasn’t far away when fourth behind Maid In Milan last time and has a good record here. BEDAZZLED hasn’t run a bad race since coming to SA and draws the inside with Todd Pannell booked. FRIDAY FUNDAY is a former Victorian who has trialled well for his SA debut and is also an acceptor at Murray Bridge on Friday.

SELECTIONS: THE DIFFERENCE, Beeokay, Bedazzled

RACE 6 - 3:30PM Schweppes Benchmark 58 Handicap (1600 METRES)

COLLECTABLE finished on the heels of the placegetters at Sandown back in August and was placed at Bendigo last time. She was tried in an Oaks here in her three-year-old season and has been placed in some handy race in Victoria. She draws the inside and has Todd Pannell – that’s good enough for me in a really open race. ROCK STEADY should almost be ready to fire and getting to the mile should be right up his alley. He draws well and has appeal. FLORIANO has claims on a good Balaklava run behind Allacciato two runs back. BIG DARRYL ran a really good race at huge odds last time out behind Vancity Gem, who would be favourite here.

SELECTIONS: COLLECTABLE, Rock Steady, Big Darryl

RACE 7 - 4:11PM Barossa Fine Foods Benchmark 72 Handicap (Heat 5 Riziz Series) (1100 METRES)

MESSERSCHMITT looks ready to fire at her third run back from a spell. She’s beat Montenegro Man here last April and was runner-up behind Tequila Time back in February. She’s suited by the claim and finds a very winnable race. THOMPSON’S REWARD is going super and was a good winner two starts back before getting a touch too far back behind SAORSA last time. KENYAN WONDER had form around Gytrash and Behemoth earlier in the year. Her best is very good and she’s jumped out well for her return. SAORSA showed a good turn of foot to run past rivals last time and must be respected. LA VITA was well backed and got the money smartly last time. The stable has kept her a month between runs but she’s drawn a touch sticky in gate 10.

SELECTIONS: MESSERSCHMITT, Kenyan Wonder, Thompson’s Reward

RACE 8 - 4:56PM Furphy Benchmark 58 Handicap (1100 METRES)

GOUGERS was heavily backed and got the money smartly last time here. He’s been kept fresh, is drawn a touch wide, but does like racing room and is aided with the claim for Jess Eaton. DEVINE stuck to the task well behind Alleboom last time and should get a nice run from the inside gate. Stablemate SONIC DEED beat Chucky here three starts back and ran well behind Alleboom last time. Todd Pannell takes the ride on THE PUBLIKIN, who is poorly drawn, but has been racing well – and this isn’t the strongest Saturday race you will see. OUR BENEVENTO has been placed at four of his past five before a break. He has two wins and two seconds from five first-up runs and Jason Holder has the ride. NALEIGH was only beaten a tick over four lengths behind Yule My Hero back in March and wasn’t asked to do a lot in a Morphettville jump-out. She was entered in arguably a stronger race at Murray Bridge on Friday.

SELECTIONS: GOUGERS, Naleigh, Our Benevento

RACE 9 - 5:32PM TAB Mares Benchmark 72 Handicap (Heat 7 Viddora Series) (1200 METRES)

GOLDEN HALO looked a promising horse in her early days. She beat Gytrash here in her three-year-old season and was beaten just 4.2 lengths behind Sunlight in the G3 Thoroughbred Club at Caulfield when with Darren Weir. She has three runs for Ciaron Maher before joining Daniel Bowman and ran fifth behind Valour Roads in the 2019 Euclase. Her first-up run behind Pinyin was very good and she looks the testing material in this class. OH PLEASE DIANNA ran fifth in the G3 Typhoon Tracy at the Valley back in February and her two runs in Melbourne have been pretty good for this. She’s smartly bred and will be right in the thick of things from the good gate. HEARTY LASS was backed off the map but did some work behind Lakhani Rose. She has a good gate and must be respected. LIANNE draws a good gate, has some handy form in Melbourne and makes her debut for Dan Clarken and Oopy Macgillivray. DAZZLING DAMSEL is an ex-Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott-trained mare who was a winner on the Kensington track (Randwick) in March and trialled OK for this. Keep an eye on betting. Stablemate MAGIC SUNSET gets out in trip to the 1200m and has been OK at both runs for Will Clarken, while MISS JANE draws out but must be respected.

SELECTIONS: GOLDEN HALO, Oh Please Dianna, Lianne
